Call for Volunteer Centre Manager Opportunity at Lam Rim Wales

Due to the wonderful success and growth of Lam Rim Wales Buddhist Centre since its re-opening in May 2023, we are delighted to take the next step in the ongoing journey and development of this inspiring Tibetan Buddhist Centre, set within eight and half acres of its own tranquil grounds, in beautiful rural Wales. 

Lam Rim Buddhist Centre is seeking a Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational running of the Centre, direct and support volunteers, liaise with onsite leadership on policy and practice, communicate with the Board of Trustees on the continuing development of the Centre.  

The role will mainly involve the recruitment, management, mentoring and support of a small team of volunteers to ensure the effective day to day running of the Centre; managing enquiries via telephone and email, housekeeping, basic bookkeeping, and supporting the onsite leadership with the development and provision of the spiritual and well-being events programme. 

This is a residential on-site position involving an average of 35 hours volunteering per week, and offers full board plus accommodation in a self-contained apartment within the beautiful grounds and spiritual ethos of Lam Rim Buddhist Centre, Wales.


Applications

The ideal candidate will have experience of retreat centres or running and supporting community events, with strong people skills and a practical, hands-on approach. A background in Tibetan Buddhism or spiritual practice would be an advantage, though not essential.
