from £0.00
  • Date: 3 nights, 13th to 16th February 2026

  • Times: Friday to Monday morning

  • Format: Residential retreat, onsite

Overview

Join us for this profound and truly special two-day retreat of purification and compassion practice, centred around Thousand-Armed Chenrezig, Buddha of Compassion.

Nyung Nä is a traditional two-day Tibetan Buddhist fasting and purification practice focused on compassion, guided by prayers to Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. It combines meditation, mantra recitation, silence, and fasting to help purify negative emotions and karma, open the heart, and deepen compassion for all beings.

Nyung Nä includes a special fasting: on the first day, participants eat only one vegetarian meal before midday; on the second day, they take no food or drink at all and remain in silence. This profound practice is said to purify body, speech, and mind, while strengthening compassion and determination.
