Serkong Rinpoche – Fri 2nd to Sun 4th October 2026
Date: Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd, & Sunday 4th October 2026
Time: Arrive Friday evening, closing Sunday after lunch
Format: Residential, Onsite
Topic To Be Confirmed
Lam Rim Wales is deeply honoured to announce a forthcoming visit from His Eminence Serkong Tsenshap Rinpoche.
The present Serkong Rinpoche is the recognised reincarnation of the previous Kyabje Tsenshab Serkong Tugse Rinpoche (1914–1983), one of the seven tsenshab, or master debate partners, of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, and one of his close teachers.
The previous Serkong Rinpoche is remembered as one of the great Gelug masters of the twentieth century, renowned for his depth of practice, scholarship, humility, and compassionate activity. Many years ago, Lam Rim Wales was blessed to receive teachings from this previous incarnation, making this forthcoming visit especially meaningful for the Centre and our community.
Today, H.E. Serkong Tsenshap Rinpoche continues this lineage of teaching and practice, offering profound yet accessible teachings with warmth, clarity, and humour.
Further details, including the schedule and booking information, will be shared soon.
We very much look forward to welcoming Rinpoche to Lam Rim Wales.
Tickets & Donation
Everyone is welcome to attend Buddhist teachings freely, with no donation required. However, the Centre relies on the kindness and generosity of the community to remain open and continue offering teachings and retreats. We offer two main suggested donation levels to help make attendance accessible to as many people as possible, and we kindly encourage those who are able to contribute at the higher rate to do so. A portion of each donation is also offered to the teacher leading the retreat. Your generosity genuinely helps sustain both the Centre and the Dharma.
Standard Rate - Contributes to running costs and a little more to help sustain the Centre. Ticket includes food and accommodation at Lam Rim for the duration of the course.
Basic Rate - Contributes to the very basic running costs of the course. Ticket includes food and accommodation at Lam Rim for the duration of the course.
Attendance Only - For those who wish to attend the event but stay in nearby accommodation. Ticket includes lunch and supper for the duration of the course.
Support Rate - Contact us via lamrimwalesmanagers@gmail.com if the above rates are too high for you where we can discuss further subsidised options, including open entry.
