Yogic Song - Meditation using the power of the Voice (Onsite) - Sunday, 23rd July 2023
Date: Sunday, 23rd July 2023
Time: 10am to 4:00pm
Overview
On Sunday 23rd July, we welcome back Ngakma Shé-zér Khandro to the Centre to provide her engaging and uplifting practical Workshop onYogic Song - meditation using the power of the voice. We are delighted that Shé-zér is re-running this course at Lam Rim as it was greatly enjoyed by those who attended last time!
Yogic song is both a meditation practice in itself, and also a great support and complement to silent sitting meditation. In this workshop you will encounter a variety of songs, each with a unique melody, history, and application. Nogreat singing talent is required, just an enthusiasm to learn.
There will be an opportunity to enjoy learning to use a variety of Himalayan musical instruments during the class, including the drilbu (bell), chod drum, dungchen (great horn), conch, silnyen and rolmo (peaceful and wrathful cymbals).
